| BAC! CORNER Dins del marc del BAC!, la Librería Loring Art organitza el BAC! Corner. La iniciativa consisteix en una recopilació de títols nacionals i internacionals, lligats a la temàtica central del Festival. Les relacions entre art i ciutat s’han tornat cada cop més complexes. El paper de l’artista urbà ha anat transformant-se sota l’imparable ritme de creixement de la metròpoli. L’artista ha deixat de ser un passejant contemplatiu de la nova naturalesa urbana per a arribar a identificar-se com a part essencial de la transformació de l’entorn urbà. En aquest contexte, la problemàtica sobre quines són les obres d’art que accedeixen als diferents espais públics amb el seu caràcter commemoratiu, festiu o reivindicatiu, és clau per a afrontar la interpretació de fenòmens artístics contemporanis com l’art institucional, les intervencions, el graffiti o l’art contextual. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Dentro del marco del BAC!, la Librería Loring Art organiza el BAC! Las relaciones entre arte y ciudad se han vuelto cada vez más complejas. El papel del artista urbano ha ido transformándose bajo imparable ritmo de crecimiento de la metrópoli. El artista ha dejado de ser un paseante contemplativo de la nueva naturaleza urbana para llegar a identificarse como parte esencial de la transformación del entorno urbano. En este contexto, la problemática sobre cuales son las obras de arte que acceden los distintos espacios públicos con su carácter conmemorativo, festivo o reivindicativo, es clave para afrontar la interpretación de fenómenos artísticos contemporáneos tales como el arte institucional, las intervenciones, el graffiti o el ----------------------------------------------------------------- Within BAC! Loring Art Bookstore organises BAC! Corner. This initiative consists of a collection of various national and international titles, linked to the main subject of the Festival. The relationships between art and city have turned even more complex. The role of the urban artist has been transformed under the unstoppable growing rhythm of the metropolis. Rather than a contemplative passer-by of the new urban nature, the artist is identified as an essential part of the transformation of the urban ambience. In this context the scepticism about the artworks that reach distinct public spaces with their festive or vindictive commemorative character is a key towards the interpretation of contemporary cultural phenomena, such as institutional art, interventions, graffiti and contextual art. |
